This is just laughing at geek jokes. Its a known bug
- Charles Roth, Gordon Sinclair, Stephen o Esteban and Paul Pritchard repeated this.

@mv I think on the beginning is worth listening to. It's about Hostess blaming unions. - Rochelle on Hostess, Dodgers, Buffets, MF Global: Audio - http://media.bloomberg.com/bb/avfile/vFC4j6wQNb6E.mp3
-
are you in the cyberunions group cause it would be great to have other listeners hear it too...plus could be a good thing in the forums (wink wink you can use your statusnet account as openID) http://status.cyberunions.org/url/2231 (obvious plug or not?)
-
-
@mv if we do end up doing a show, we should end every show with a reference to Hitler and end a show at the first reference even if the show has only been going for like 5 minutes.
-
ha i not sure how I feel about the reference...not reading too much into it, but we'll have to see if a show is possible

@mv @douglasawh This link (via @jra) http://is.gd/lTWEuy ... crackdown on Occupy came from high up ... as I thought all along.
-
@lnxwalt280 on that note, I do think the next constitutional amendment should be written in 140 char or less.
-
I still think their is merit to the point mainly cause the fact is states and city governments set limits and restrictions on the first amendment rights. Peacefully assemble requires paying a permit...that seems like a law restricting the rights of the people
-
I think that's been clear, the first one I noticed was when Occupy Albany had the orders from the Governor to the Mayor to the Police Chief and it was the police chief that said no, which was great...but clearly on high

time to hack a little on the status site

With a new election looming, Greece is slouching towards the drachma.
- Charles Roth repeated this.
-
This is why I don't like the economist-->"such as recapitalising its insolvent banks and getting on with privatisation" --privitisation is not a solution it's called tax the rich to meet the demands of the people
-
I finally made the switch system is no in spanish!
-

@metztli yes. and people accustomed to standardizing on particular software/project rather than a format or protocol.

Thurs 2 pm at LaSalle & Jackson: Occupy Chicago’s Day of Environment. I'll be there. And at 8 pm I'll be at Linneman's in Milwaukee!
- Stephen o Esteban repeated this.

still laughing from reading this warning "If you try to install this package on other Debian-based systems, it may work if you have Rails 2.3.5 installed, but it can also melt down your CPU, eat your hard drives, steal your wallet and crap on your kitchen. Use at your own risk." http://status.cyberunions.org/url/2210

@mv given that my car tags now say "Live Free or Die," I think this might interest you: http://sixgun.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=67556 . It's pretty much the opposite of what I would have expected. What I view as the center may have changed though and I am just adjusting to that
-
1st like someone said in the forums there I never trust those tests....2nd I am not sure what you mean by the center has changed, the center I would say stays the center and things around it change :)
-
no, if you were around 100 socialists and 5 libertarians and then move to 100 libertarians and 5 socialists, the mean and median are going to change.
-
as an aside, just heard on a podcast about the Mexican FOIA stuff, but I know you have a backlog, so I won't send.

@mv Wendy sent me some flight sales info and I checked out Mexico City, but AirTran doesn't fly from Baltimore or DC: http://www.airtran.com/sale/MEX.aspx?saleID=593
-
I didn't know you are thinking of coming here, that would be cool! do they fly from Philly?
-
no, Atlanta was the closest from Baltimore
-
Wendy wanted me to look at the sale that was "today only" sale, so I figured I'd check out practice. I don't really want to go anywhere, because I don't have any money. Wendy does not seem to understand that.

-

@mv are your site stats public? I'd be curious a state-by-state breakdown
-
right now we use awstat but piwik is supposed to be installed soon. The numbers are not public partly cause i have no idea how to release them but secondly the break down is by country not state
-
@mv my Google overlords give me state-by-state details. All hail the Google overlords!
